Mr Wike said the suspected developer, Kabiru Sahara, had been apprehended and would be prosecuted after investigation.
Mr Echee decried indiscriminate cutting of trees by those carrying out illegal development.
Mr Galadima said that the department had sealed the premises and engaged NBRRI to probe the demolished building,
“This will not only maintain a serene environment, but also ensure free flow of traffic in the area,” Mr Jibril said.
“I urge those who settled here illegally to know that we will not hesitate to move them out.”
The demolition started with Area 3 and Banex Junction Taxi Ranks in Abuja on Friday.
“We believe that the owners are fully aware, and as such, there will be consequences.”
The official said the department also removed obstructing structures on waterways at Lugbe, Jahi and Lokogoma.
He added that owners of the properties have been informed and given notices to revert to the original land uses but have yet to comply.
“We got information that some owners of the revoked lands are moving to the site in violation of the order,” said Mr Galadima.
