The government charged him with perjury, false declaration, use of false documents as genuine, and possession of a forged record.
He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to him.
The arraignment was initially scheduled for August 17 but was stalled due to the absence of the second defendant, Ms Yaro.
The judge ruled that the defendant could continue to receive care in custody.
He said the victim, whose mother was late, resided with her grandmother in Ado-Ekiti.
She ordered the police to forward the case file to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) for legal advice.
Nelson Akintimehin, the prosecutor in charge of the case, told the court that the five accused persons conspired to commit the felony and unlawful murder of Mr Olorunfemi.
“The man was never a drunk. In fact, I was told he is a very nice man. I know him… The guy has been a very good man,” police spokesman Olumuyiwa Adejobi said.
“The defendant spoke good English at the last adjourned date of September 29. When we get an interpreter, we will finish the case in a very short time.”
