The naira depreciated against the dollar on Monday, exchanging for N464 at the investors’ and exporters’ window.
A spot exchange rate of N466 was used for trading within the day before it settled at N462.25.
The central parity rate of the Chinese currency renminbi, or the yuan, weakened 256 pips to ¥6.8987 against the dollar on Thursday.

In China’s spot foreign exchange market, the yuan is allowed to rise or fall by two per cent from the central parity rate each trading day.
The rate represented a decrease of 0.06 per cent when compared to the N461.24 which it exchanged to the dollar on Wednesday.
