The open indicative rate closed at N782.28 to the dollar on Friday.
The naira on Monday appreciated against the dollar, exchanging at N756.94 at the Investors and Exporters window.
The local currency lost 0.93 per cent compared with N768.60, which it exchanged for the dollar on Thursday.
The naira lost by 1.26 per cent compared with N768.16, which it exchanged for the dollar on Thursday.
The naira decreased by 7.72 per cent compared with N746.28, which it exchanged for the dollar on Thursday.
The strength of the yuan against the dollar was 238 pips, according to the China Foreign Exchange Trade System.
The naira on Monday appreciated against the dollar, exchanging at N741.50 at the investors’ and exporters’ window.
The central parity rate of the Chinese currency renminbi, or the yuan, weakened 50 pips to 7.2258 against the dollar Friday.
“The month-on-month inflation rate in June 2023 was 74.5%, gaining 58.8 percentage points on the May 2023 rate of 15.7%.”
The naira depreciated by 0.67 per cent when compared with N768.17 for which it exchanged for the dollar at the close of business on Monday.
