The royal father said that the late Okupe played pivotal roles in shaping Nigeria’s political discourse and public service.
Mr Okupe said there is confusion about whether Nigeria is running a federal system or unitary system which any reform must address.
The Yoruba leader insists his support for Peter Obi was based on fairness.
The party had earlier released a 1,234 member campaign council list which was later retracted to accommodate more people.
Mr Okupe said the LP is fully committed and totally re-energised to making Nigeria work, and progressively develop.
