Mr Abdulazeez called on hospital management and the public to adopt a zero-tolerance approach to violence against medical personnel.
“Some of the activities marking the week include a Scientific Conference, discussions on medical doctors’ welfare, courtesy visits, and Young Doctors’ Day,” he said.
“We pray for divine guidance for our dynamic governor and we wish him a resounding success in this second tenure to the benefit of all Kwarans and the country at large,” he said.
The Kwara NMA chairman warned that some patients may die due to unavailability of cash to pay for healthcare services in hospitals.
