The incident happened along the railway line opposite Cappa in Lagos.
He said no casualties or injuries were recorded during the incident.
Mr Oke-Osanyintolu said six cars were impacted by the fire and the second floor of a two storey building beside the gas station was also affected.
“A search and rescue operation is still ongoing to ground zero,” Mr Oke-Osanyintolu said.
LASEMA said, “Two male adults were rescued alive and one adult male trapped under the rubble was rescued.’’
The agency said it could confirm that there were no more victims underneath the collapsed building after searching the rubble.
Dr Oke-Osanyintolu said the agency responded to the distress call to its command and control centre within 10 minutes.
Mr Oke-Osanyintolu said the worker was de-silting drainages in the area, accessed the underground tunnel and got trapped.
Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu added that cylinders of various sizes were found at the scene.
