He urged the public to continue reporting suspicious activities and crimes to the nearest police station.

The command’s spokesperson said that Mr Shehu was posted as commissioner following the elevation of the former CP, Aliyu Abubakar-Musa, to the rank of AIG.
Mr Aliyu listed the crimes to include armed robbery, culpable homicide, kidnapping and rape.
They said the bandits, in their numbers, went with dangerous weapons, shooting and forcefully gaining access to Mr Tsiga’s residence.
Mr Aliyu said that the animals recovered consisted of 61 cows, 44 sheep, two donkeys, one goat, and a dog.
