Mr Aregbesola, through his lawyer, Mohammed Sheriff, cited lack of confidence in the judge, in his seven-ground argument.
Mr Kachikwu was elected on Sunday during the party’s special convention held in Abuja.
The judge adjourned the matter until October 23 for a hearing.
Mr Abdullahi said the party will engage aggrieved members but will not appease those with “ulterior motives” to destabilise the party.
The leadership of the African Democratic Congress stated on Thursday that it had no intention of removing the party’s state chairpersons.

No sooner had the alliance been announced than Mr Kachikwu launched a disinformation campaign, using incurious outlets to spread unfounded claims that he owned the ADC structure.
Mr Kachikwu further dismissed the coalition members’ claim to fight for ordinary Nigerians.’’
“We can no longer be the picture of abnormal. The world must no longer associate us with wasted opportunities and squandered resources,” stated Mr Kachikwu.
