The defendant is liable to life imprisonment if found guilty of the offence.
The Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday remanded a 43-year-old man, Oni Jelili, in Kirikiri Prison custody for defiling a 10-year-old girl.
“Mr Chris-Johnson pleaded not guilty to the charges.’’
The prosecutor said the defendant lured the teenager into his room and defiled her.
The 16-year-old girl was on her way back from school when the defendant deceived and forcefully had sexual intercourse with her.
