Mr Nwifuru said the move was not about prestige but a calculated initiative aimed at opening Ebonyi to greater economic activity.
Mrs Nwifuru said, “This is in fulfilment of BERWO objective to uplift the lives of widows in the society. I am happy it’s achieved.’’
Mr Nkwuda said that child abandonment and poor parenting had become serious challenges in the state.
The statement urged residents to support the administration of Governor Francis Nwifuru in its efforts to create a healthy, clean and conducive environment for the good of all.
Mr Adebayo, a deputy director in the Federal Ministry of Finance, said the Ebonyi government’s action was uncommon among states participating in the project.
The governor commended his wife for her life-saving projects for the people of the state.
He noted that the committee would promote Governor Francis Nwifuru’s campaign mantra in the agricultural sector of embarking on practical agriculture.
He noted that the government has approved the payment of arrears of gratuity to retired civil servants from 1996 to 2021 with a cost implementation of N4.3 billion.
The new SSG will be sworn-in on Tuesday, June 13, at the executive council chambers of the government house in Abakaliki.
Obianuju Alo was immediately appointed a special adviser to the governor on aviation and technology.
