The governor said that with the supplementary budget of N58 billion and N24 billion, the state 2023 budget had risen to N350 billion.
The agency said it expects each governor to put aside part of their ecological funds to handle disasters in their states.
“The commission will have some form of independence to handle and manage that special budget of at least N250 billion to be allocated to the affected states.”
The invited commissioners are Local Government, Community Development and Chieftaincy Affairs, Yusuf Turaki; Finance, Daniel Agyeno, and Accountant-General Zakka Yakubu.
