The Economic Commission for Africa has called for swift and strategic action to address the complex and growing economic challenges facing Africa.
He also acknowledged the struggles many Nigerians face due to inflation and economic reforms.
“We have to reduce costs. The present situation has become a burden on us, so we have to be economical,” said Mr Sanwo-Olu’s aide.
Mr Akpabio appealed to Nigerians to give Mr Tinubu’s administration more time so its policies could yield results.
He said that since coming on board in 2023, the Tinubu-led government met quite a number of challenges.
The conference expressed dissatisfaction with the government’s attitude towards the plight of the poor masses.
“We are in the same shoes. There are other areas; labour, for example, can advocate for good governance; it’s not just all about minimum wage,” he added.
He said that the government had taken several measures to address current hardships.
He also urged the people to be patient with government.
The governor urged Nigerians to be patient and support the current administration with prayers.
