The Edo government has warned and begun consultations for legal action against the Neo Black Movement, also known as Black Axe, over the spate of killings and cult-related violence.
Citizens of the affected areas were urged to remain peaceful.
Mr Obaseki noted that he wanted to leave behind an articulated plan and direction on what needs to be done and when to do it in the state education system.
The examinations earlier fixed for March were postponed due to the clash with the 2023 State House of Assembly election.
