“Consequently, the commission will approach the Court of Appeal to set it aside,” he said.
Ms Umar-Farouq announced on X her arrival at the EFCC’s head office in Abuja on Monday.
“She sent a letter pleading for more time, explaining that she had some health challenges,” said EFCC
“Discussions were also held on issues pertaining to joint investigations and intelligence sharing.’’
“Do not leave the fight against corruption to the EFCC alone.’’
“We issued this statement to reiterate our several warnings,” he said.
Telcos and fintechs admitted the vulnerabilities and loopholes in their systems that cybercriminals exploit.
The EFCC had in November of last year launched an investigation into the controversial $5.8bn Mambilla Hydro Electric Power project contract to Sunrise Power.
“They will be charged to court as soon as the investigations are concluded,” he said.
They pleaded not guilty when the charges were read to them.
