The group also called for the country’s electoral system to be sanitised to be devoid of malpractice.
INEC disclosed that 3,250,449 of the registrants completed the process online, while 5,381,247 did through physical registration.
“The military is trained for war, not for election purposes. I pray that the time will come where the military will not intervene in the election process.”
The commission said it would close that of the governorship and state assemblies’ nominations on July 15.
The chairman is meeting with different stakeholders, including security agencies, ahead of the election.
