The suspect travelled from Malaysia to Thailand and subsequently to Nigeria through the UAE.
The pilot and co-pilot had a dispute shortly after takeoff and grabbed each other by their collars after one of them threw a punch.
The release comes as international airlines began a wind down of their operations in the country.
