Mr Shettima said the fund was earmarked to support 100,000 start-ups and Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) at single digit interest rates.
The Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) said that the global snail farming industry was estimated to be worth about $2.1 billion.
YEP is an initiative of NEPC designed to empower the active and intelligent Nigerian youth population to become export champions.
Mr Yakusak said that cultivating economic trees like cashew and palm trees has a huge export potential and urged farmers to key in and reap the benefits.
It was reported that Nigerian products were exported to 122 countries with Brazil recording the highest import value of 12.27 per cent.
“If you want Nigeria to survive. If you want to see this country economically viable, we have to embark on non-oil exports,” said the NEPC boss.
