The victims were abducted by armed bandits from Unguwan Lado in Kankara Local Government Area on June 22, 2026.
He said that efforts were being made to ensure the arrest of the other fleeing suspect.
Mr Opeifa said eight suspects were apprehended on July 11 for vandalising railway track components along the Sheme-Gusau rail corridor in Katsina State.
Mr Ali said, “Their elimination marks a major breakthrough in the ongoing military campaign to restore peace in the North-West.’’
Mr Aliyu said the police also recovered a large cache of ammunition during the operation.
“I am profoundly shocked by the large-scale killing of innocent people by wicked and heartless bandits in some of our communities.’’
The teenagers, between the ages of 16 years and 21 years, were kidnapped on the farm five days ago.
Gambo Isa, police spokesman in Katsina, said that the police were on the trail of the abductors.
The suspect confessed to running errands for the bandits and collecting money from their leader.
