The NAHCON spokesperson stated that the revised fares were calculated based on an exchange rate of N1,443 per dollar.
The NAHCON spokesperson said the step was also taken to motivate staff towards higher performance.
NAHCON said in a statement by its spokesperson, Fatima Usara, that the fire incident occurred at the Imaratus Sanan Hotel at noon on Saturday.
Ms Usara said that all flights were currently landing in Madinah in line with the agreed plan.
She said that the summit will feature four sessions, each comprising seven panel members.
NAHCON stated that the delay in resolving certain financial issues stemmed from the complexities of hajj operations.
“Information reaching NAHCON indicates that there are plans by a section of the NLC to disrupt the ongoing hajj operations.’’
She said that a total of 155 companies applied, out of which 58 were initially successful, while 97 companies were disqualified.
The General Authority for Civil Aviation (GACA) in Saudi Arabia has extended landing permits of Nigerian Hajj carriers from July 4 to 6.
