President Bola Tinubu has sought the approval of the Senate for a 2023-2024 external borrowing plan of $8.6 billion and €100 million.
The Nigerian military had achieved what it called kinetic success in fighting Boko Haram.
The minister said this at the 2023 World Science Day for Peace and Development with the theme ‘Building trust in science’ on Friday in Abuja.
Deputy Governor Auwal Jatau said FAAN officially adopted the facility in May 2023.
Mr Tinubu said ex-President Muhammadu Buhari had approved the 2022–2024 borrowing plan at the Federal Executive Council on May 15.
He said the country owed a debt of gratitude to its gallant troops, who have risen to the challenge of securing the country.
“This is part of the technological wave that is present very much in Nigeria, which is becoming a bigger and bigger share of the economy.’’
The ministers were the three nominated by Mr Tinubu.
The minister said laterite has limitations in load-bearing capacity, is vulnerable to erosion, and weathers quickly, especially in regions with heavy rainfall.
The federal government says it is targeting 15 million poor and vulnerable households nationwide for its Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) scheme.
