The Ondo state chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association issued the threat on Monday at their 2023 Physicians’ Week, held in Akure.
“In the wake of the pandemic, we borrowed space from hotels and some private organisations to store our consignment,” he said.
“We also have the labelling gazette that will show the quantity of milligrammes of fat and oil in our food.
The disease is more common in tropical and subtropical climates. Its incidence has grown dramatically worldwide in recent decades.
Mr Gana also said about 289 cases had been treated and discharged.
He explained that the directive was sequel to the abuse of the substance by people who use it for recreational purposes.
The federal government had alerted the public on the outbreak of anthrax disease in some neighbouring countries in the West African sub- region.
NAHCON said the advisory became necessary following the confirmation of the disease outbreaks in Ghana, Togo and Burkina Faso.
