Mr Aliyu said the operation led to the seizure of 22 pieces of elephant tusks weighing 130.84 kilogrammes and one vehicle allegedly used in the trafficking activity.
The comptroller reiterated his commitment to border security and economic growth for national development.
The controller described the handover as a milestone in Nigeria’s fight against fake and counterfeit products.
The controller disclosed that officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Kaduna state command had tested the seized substances.
He noted that two members of a syndicate who specialised in forging Customs documents to smuggle vehicles from the Benin Republic into Nigeria were arrested.
Customs controller Hussein Ejibunu said the goods were seized along the borders and port corridors within the South West zone.
Mr Ejibunu said that in 2015, the federal government placed a ban on the importation of small generators popularly known as ‘I better pass my neighbour’.
