According to the FRSC boss, the radar gun, which monitors vehicles’ speed, will be used to drastically reduce road crashes in Ogun.

“Anambra state recorded a decrease of 22.22 per cent in incidence of road traffic crashes in the year 2023 compared with 2022.”
The PRO said the achievement was a result of resilience and commitment by officers of the command.
“Further investigation revealed that 73 people were involved in the crash, with 59 sustaining injuries and, sadly, 4 losing their lives.”
The sector commander said that the cause of the two road traffic crashes was speed-related.
“The security system in Anambra is proactive, preventive and functional,” he said.
The unfortunate fatal crash occurred on kilometre 20,Ovia Bridge inward Benin, Edo State at exactly 9:04 a.m. on June 26, 2023.
The FRSC spokesman warned civilians who normally conspire with FRSC teams in such nefarious and unpatriotic acts to desist henceforth or be ready to face the wrath of the law when apprehended.
In the past, travellers to the South-East used to spend between 12 and 18 hours crossing the old Niger Bridge due to gridlocks.
