In its 16 years in government, PDP built nothing that could be remembered or destroyed, said APC.
Mr Morka commended the judiciary for its professionalism and commitment toward strengthening the country’s democracy.
APC called on Nigerians, especially the Muslim faithful, to pray for the country’s unity, security and progress as they celebrate Eid-el-Fitr.
Mr Morka said that the decision was reached at an emergency meeting of the NWC in Abuja on Tuesday.
“Opposition politics is not necessarily about condemning.’’
The party will adopt direct primaries to select candidates for the poll slated for September 21.
Mr Morka said the APC would continue to submit to the dictates of the rule of law.
He said the PDP’s blind criticism of the New Year message testified to its incapacity to serve as a credible opposition party.
Mr said the state had also been bedevilled with orchestrated violence that now threatens its peace and security.
He applauded the judiciary for its courage and professionalism in discharging its important constitutional duties.
