He said the move aimed at alleviating the sufferings of motorists plying the road.
The works minister begged the citizens to shelve the planned protest and give the President more time to work.
He said the renewed hope in FERMA, under the leadership of Chukwuemeka Agbasi, believed in carrying out its mandate to the fullest.
The governor underscored the importance of good road networts as key to the development of any society.
“In all ramifications, fibre disruptions have constituted a threat to the manifestation of the industry’s inherent potentials,” the ATCON president said.
He said that the roads all over the country are in a critical state, declaring that the primary need of Nigerians is good roads.
“The project was part of the 2023 agency’s intervention project, which is expected to be completed in a three-month period,” he said.
The House of Representatives Committee on Federal Road Maintenance Agency has pledged to revamp the agency to meet the needs of Nigerians.
The Senate also confirmed the appointment of nine other persons as members of the board of FERMA.
The president noted that the agency would play a central role in the sustainable health of growth-enabling infrastructure nationwide.
