The Nigerian stock market rebounded on Thursday after two consecutive sessions of decline, with investors gaining N648 billion in market value.
The market breadth closed positive with 53 gainers and 23 losers.
Market capitalisation gained N17 billion to close at N28.681 trillion in contrast with N28.664 trillion on Thursday.
The negative performance was driven by price depreciation in stocks like, Con Oil, Jaiz Bank, Honeywell Flour, Linkage Assurance and WAPIC Plc.
An investment expert attributed the persistent lull to profit-taking and sell pressure, ahead of earnings season.
