The All Share Index rose by 53.29 points or 0.11 per cent to close at 49,889.80 from 49, 836.51 achieved on Wednesday.
In all, investors staked N4.12 billion on 128.79 million shares exchanged in 3,492 deals.
The market capitalisation of listed equities decreased by N28 billion or 0.10 per cent to N27.685 trillion from N27,713 trillion recorded on Wednesday.
The gain was driven by price appreciation in stocks of AccessCorp, PZ, WAPCO, among others.
Performance was driven by sustained investors’ interest in MTN, First Bank of Nigeria Holdings (FBNH), Zenith Bank, Okumu Oil, among others.
Market capitalisation gained N17 billion to close at N28.681 trillion in contrast with N28.664 trillion on Thursday.
The All Share Index (ASI) lost by 0.14 per cent to close at 53,193.98 points from 53,270.88 points the previous day.
The gain was a result of buying interests in stocks such as MTN Nigeria, First Bank of Nigeria Holdings (FBNH), Conoil, amongst others.
