The Labour Party flag bearer made a case for the rising insecurity, violence and bloodshed in the country as one of the reasons he chose not to celebrate his birthday.
He added, “my heart goes out in sympathy to all those who are affected by this unfortunate flooding incident.
“I have always preached and maintained this same position that ‘Our brain drain today will be our brain gain tomorrow’.”
Mr Obi said that his support for the removal of fuel subsidy dates back to the administration of former president Goodluck Jonathan.
“Some of the Obidients, I must tell, or people they mentioned are Obidients, are not entirely people who are with us. The oppositions have come into it.”
“Obi came far behind with 25 per cent in 15 states. This means Obi, who was wrongly adjudged as a frontrunner in the election, was virtually unknown and unpopular in 22 states.”
