Mr Osigwe described the late CJN as a fine jurist. The NBA expressed its condolences in a statement.

The development was said to have led to a financial burden on the FJSC, having to maintain both the official apartment and that of Mr Ariwoola.
The senators are investigating corruption allegations brought against the former CJN by 14 justices of the apex court.
The former CJN was summarily removed from office 29 days to the 2019 general elections, an action which generated widespread criticisms from different quarters.
