The president’s message was delivered by Gov. Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State.
Mr Adekoya said the funeral rites would commence on July 26 with a night of tribute, while a service of songs and Christian Wake would hold on July 27 and July 28, respectively.
“Diya played frontline roles in the evolution and development of the state and Nigeria as a whole,” the governor said.
“Our dear Daddy passed onto glory in the early hours of 26th March 2023,” reads a family statement announcing his demise.
Supreme Court justices, cabinet ministers and religious leaders were among prominent Nigerians who showed up at Aso Rock Presidential Villa for the event.
