Mrs Akpoti-Uduaghan is charged with defaming Senate President Godswill Akpabio and former Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi.
The former Kogi governor gave the advice while receiving members of the APC who came to present Shado to him at his residence in Abuja.
The case is not unconnected to Ms Akpoti-Uduaghan’s alleged defamatory comments made during a live appearance on Channels TV on April 3, 2025.
The rector cautioned the students against indulging in social vices.
On Wednesday, former Governor Yahaya Bello pleaded not guilty to a 16-count fraud charge brought against him by the EFCC.
But the whole show leaves a bitter, corrosive aftertaste of sulfurous proportions. Dangote has been accused of many things.
“We have declared him wanted, and he is still wanted,” Dele Oyewale, spokesperson for the anti-graft agency, told Peoples Gazette on Thursday.
The embattled ex-Kogi governor said he was not a fugitive and claimed the EFCC did not invite him for interrogation over any alleged financial infractions.
“We call on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to call the EFCC to order in the interest of legal sanity,” said the ex-governor.
