Former military head of state, Abdulsalami Abubakar, has felicitated Muslims in Nigeria and worldwide on the occasion of Ramadan.
Mr Abubakar described the late general as a disciplined, loyal, and patriotic officer.
Mr Gowon said inadequate housing remained one of the most critical issues facing the continent.
“Our sister nations that decided to leave, will, in time, realise the bonds of culture,” the erstwhile military leader stated.
On Monday, the police assured that operatives would provide adequate security for all, irrespective of their affiliations.
“It is the question that every judge should ask himself at the conclusion of every case: ‘Have I judged with justice in this case?’” said Mr Abubakar.
“They are books that every politician should have in his or her library.’’
Mr Tinubu said the courage, passion and wisdom that Mr Gowon consistently exuded from his youth, being Nigeria’s youngest leader at 32, had kept him steadfast and relevant at 89.
The minister’s visit to the duo was to seek professional advice on how to tackle and accomplish the task ahead of him.
“This is because the state belongs to us all. We are all stakeholders and it is never and can never be an exclusive preserve of a few,” he said.
