Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar described Mr Akeredolu as a “quintessential gentleman who took the finesse to governance.”
The former governor of Kwara gave the advice at a farewell dinner for outgoing governors organised by the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF) on Sunday in Abuja.
On January 25, the court struck out two separate suits filed by Mr Saraki against the anti-graft agency and others for lack of diligent prosecution.
Justice Inyang Ekwo, in a short ruling, struck out the suits for lack of diligent prosecution.
The former senate president says “there are times when working silently behind the scenes is more productive.”
Mr Saraki said he was a bridge between the young and the old, north and south and Christians and Muslims.
“The reality is that you cannot make laws or govern people and they are not part of it.”
