Ms Okpe said that a total number of 17 passengers were involved in the accident comprising eight men, seven women and two children.
Five persons were confirmed dead in an accident on Fidiwo bridge on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
Mrs Okpe attributed the cause of the accident to excessive speed on the part of the Sienna driver.
Meanwhile, the state sector commander of FRSC, Ahmed Umar, sympathised with the families of the victims.
The FRSC official said 27 passengers comprising 25 men, two women and a female child were involved in the accident, out of which seven were burnt beyond recognition.
The speeding car with registration number WWD 621 AE crashed after the driver lost control as one of its tyres burst.
The sector commander advised motorists to ensure that their vehicles are working perfectly before embarking on any trip while also cautioning them on speed violations.
The bus with number plate KAA 601 XA caught fire at about 8:38 a.m. while in motion due to a mechanical fault.
“Traffic has been diverted and FRSC personnel are still on the ground trying to manage the situation.”
Mr Umar explained that the accident was caused by excessive speed and loss of control by the bus driver who rammed at the stationed truck.
