The National Bureau of Statistics says that the prices of beans, tomatoes, Irish potatoes, garri, yam, and other food items witnessed significant price increases in June 2024.
The NBS said on a month-on-month basis, the core inflation rate was 2.06 per cent in June 2024.

The discount markets for foodstuffs (Ounje Eko) are part of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s measures to cushion the effect of the removal of petrol subsidies.
