The task force’s boss warned that illegal okada operations and related criminal activities would no longer be tolerated in the state.
He said the operation targeted suspected criminal hideouts within the Agboyi-Ketu and Alapere axis on Friday morning.
Mr Akerele warned reckless motorists that the agency under his leadership wouldn’t spare environmental and traffic laws violators in the state.
The Lagos State Taskforce says additional patrol motorcycles have been deployed to tackle the menace of “one chance” operators and traffic-related crimes.
Mr Abdulraheem noted that the hawkers purchase large quantities of petrol in gallons and kegs to resell by the roadside.
“This operation is a testament to our unwavering dedication to this cause,” the spokesperson said.
He said those arrested would be charged to court, and items confiscated would be forfeited to the Lagos State government through the court.
“They converted streets to mini- markets and restaurants.’’
Mr Abdulraheem noted that somehow, the contaminated turkeys found their way into the hands of unscrupulous elements trying to sell them.
He warned okada operators that there is no room for their operations in restricted parts of state.
