Mr Musa urged the passing out cadets to build regimental attitudes that would distinguish them among their peers.
He said violent extremism and terrorism, particularly in the Sahel, is spreading to the coastal regions of West Africa.
The DHQ “urges the general public to exercise caution and refrain from spreading unsubstantiated information while the investigation is ongoing.”
“Turji’s capture is imminent,” Mr Musa said while briefing journalists on the military operations across the country on Tuesday in Abuja.
Mr Buhari prayed for the repose of those killed and called “for strict response to those who commit these monstrous acts.”
Mr Musa called on Katsina residents to cooperate fully with the military.
The defence chief said the moral level in society had given rise to youths vulnerable to anti-peaceful activities.
“Peace is achievable, and with our collective efforts, we can make it a reality,” the group said.
The CDS also emphasised the need for increased discipline among personnel.
“The solution to terrorism and other challenges lies in our hands,” Mr Tinubu said.
