This comes after Mr Bongo was released from detention, a week after he was sacked from office.
Gabon military ruler General Brice Nguema has ordered the release of his cousin, ousted President Ali Bongo, from detention.
“With the new government, made up of experienced people, we’re going to give everyone a chance to hope,” Mr Nguema said.
General Brice Nguema, ousted President Ali Bongo’s cousin, has been sworn in as interim president of Gabon.
The military junta said that it will take its time to conduct elections to avoid repeating mistakes of the past.
