Williams Manga, FRSC unit commander, told journalists that the accident occurred at 7:10 a.m. opposite the Mammy Market Barracks axis of the expressway.
“Those who suffered fatal injuries were taken to the hospital.’’
Mr Manga said nine other persons sustained injuries in the accident, which occurred in the Agemowo axis of the road, around 7:31 a.m.
The accident claimed the lives of a father, mother and their three children when their Toyota Sienna rammed into a parked truck.
“Just around 9:30 this morning, during the church service, there was a heavy storm which hit the church building.”
