The commandant of the Nigerian Defence Academy, Oluyemi Olatoye, on Tuesday, paid a courtesy visit to the general officer commanding, 1 Division, Abubakar Wase, in Kaduna.
Army chief Olufemi Oluyede has inaugurated landmark projects during his three-day operational tour of the 6 Division’s Area of Responsibility.
The GOC urged the students to remain focused and study hard to be great future leaders.
The court martial also sentenced another soldier, Abubakar Yusuf, for robbery at a mall within Enugu.
The GOC said that electric motorcycles would also promote an eco-friendly environment within the cantonment.
Mr Ndace highlighted the Nigerian Army’s humanitarian initiatives and peacekeeping efforts.
“I’m highly pleased to have over 1,000 personnel of various security outfits to participate in this fitness walk.’’
The CDS said he was proud of the feats of the soldiers and those who paid the ultimate price.
He lauded their courage and resilience in the face of adversity and saluted their undying faith in the Nigerian state.
“We must continue to educate our youths about the dangers of substance abuse.’’
