The call was made by the chapter’s president, Joel Uwabor, on Sunday during the organisation’s general assembly, held alongside activities marking International Women’s Day.

Women and girls are overrepresented among the poor at every stage of life, with the largest gaps during their childbearing years.
The additional fund will target married girls since the initial one targets girls in school with multiple interventions to empower them and prevent their dropout.
