Mr Namadi said that the state was already number one in the production of wheat.
Gov. Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State said the programme was timely following the economic hardship in the country.
The governor warned the appointees that his administration would not tolerate any act of corruption and incompetence.
Also speaking, Mr Sylva promised to return the state back to the path of progress and development, using his six-point agenda.
Mr Yahaya stated this while inspecting facilities at the park on Saturday.
According to him, the palliative is meant for the poor and vulnerable persons in view of the hardship occasioned by the fuel subsidy removal.
Speaking earlier, Yusuf Isah, chief administration officer, NEMA, Abuja, said the items being distributed comprised food and non-food materials.
