Despite the announcement of a dawn-to-dusk curfew in Kano, hundreds of residents have trooped out to jubilate with the winner of the state’s governorship election.
The released inmates were given N5,000 each as transportation fare to enable them reunite with their families.

The distributed materials include maize, rice, millet, guinea corn, Indomie, rice, beans and condiments.
