“Monday Okpebholo is not a thief and he is not familiar with figures. Anybody who wants to talk and continue to talk is nonsense,” said Mr Tenebe.
“The Edo state 2025 appropriation bill of six billion, six hundred and five billion, seventy-six million, seventy-six.. let me take it again,” the Edo governor rambled.
The Edo governorship election petitions tribunal is set to hear seven petitions challenging the victory of Governor Monday Okpebholo.
At a meeting with the chairs, Mr Okpebholo emphasised the administration’s commitment to transparency and accountability.
The governor also ordered the review of all recruitments carried out by former Governor Godwin Obaseki between May and November 2024.
The committee found Mr Okoebor to be educationally qualified and fit for the job.
On Monday, the Edo House of Assembly approved the Revised Supplementary Budget of N485.6 billion for 2024.
“It is funny how you can call a government institution Ministry of Roads and Bridges,” said Mr Okpebholo. “Ironically, no single bridge was built….”
Mr Okpebholo’s chief press secretary said the Edo House of Assembly would confirm the nomination of Messrs Osagie and Oshiomhole.
