A total of 74 AK-47 rifles, five locally made rifles, 5,398 live ammunition, and 11 pump action magazines were intercepted during the period.
The citizens were transporting harvested farm produce when the incident occurred.
The governor said the state was proud of all the transport unions, saying they had always cooperated with the government and urged for more.
The Kaduna governor earlier claimed that his arrest was orchestrated by a PDP-led presidency to which Mr Obi had no affiliation at the time.
Mr Tinubu arrived at the palace a few hours after the departure of the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
The governor noted that the investments have created 75,750 direct and indirect jobs.
“The future of Kaduna is in the hands of young people, particularly women. We are determined to give them opportunities to excel,” Mr El-Rufai stated.
Items recovered were locally-made rifles, AK-47 magazine and rifle top cover, radio chargers, 11 mobile phones, three music boxes and others.
The bandits were said to have fled from the “superior firepower of the troops, leaving behind six kidnapped victims at their camp.”
The situation is said to be more pathetic in schools in the rural communities where most of the primary schools were located.
