Ms Ali said the revocation was approved by the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Olayemi Cardoso.
Mr Ekezie said, “This sort of foreign buffer should indicate how healthy an economy is, ideally.”
The governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Olayemi Cardoso, has announced plans to establish a compliance department.
Mr Cardoso expressed the apex bank’s determination “to do everything it takes to take charge of our market and not allow others manipulate our market.”

“The redesigned naira notes and CBN’s cashless policy has moderated inflation in the country,” Mr Emefiele told the legislators.

Mr Emefiele made this disclosure just as the House of Representatives ordered the apex bank to halt the policy’s implementation.
