NGX shed N183 billion amid sell offs in MTN, First Bank, Zenith, other stocks
Market capitalisation gained N17 billion to close at N28.681 trillion in contrast with N28.664 trillion on Thursday.
Specifically, the market capitalisation lost N33 billion, to close at N28.644 trillion compared with N28.677 trillion on Wednesday.
Cutix Plc, Airtel Africa, Wema Bank, Ardova and First Bank of Nigeria Holdings led the price movement table.
The market capitalisation which opened at N28.423 trillion improved by N298 billion or 1.05 per cent to close at N28.721 trillion.
The market capitalisation increased by N97 billion to close at N28.625 trillion in contrast with N28.528 trillion achieved on Thursday.
The All-Share Index (ASI) gained 0.34 per cent to close at 47.367.31 points from 47.205.03 points posted on Tuesday.
The market breadth closed at par; 16 stocks advanced while 16 stocks declined.
Seplat Energy recorded the highest gain of 10 per cent to close at N869 per share.
The gain was driven by high demand for shares of MTN Nigeria Communications (MTNN).
