According to him, Mr George’s experience and contributions to the PDP make him a vital asset to the party.
Mr Doherty assured the committee members that the party would not abandon them after the congresses.
The PDP chieftain dismissed claims that Mr Fubara’s move was linked to internal party issues.
“I will advise those 27 lawmakers who initially pledged loyalty to APC to retrace their steps back and come back to PDP fully to develop the party,” he said.
The recent renaming of streets and public landmarks in the state has sparked reactions and protests.
Mr Olalemi said that the party would not miss the defectors, adding that they were not active members of the party.
“Sanwo-Olu’s second term in office is a little bit better than the first term because this time around, there is focus on infrastructure development,” said the PDP chieftain.
According to the PDP chieftain, if education is given the right attention, most of the problems facing the nation today would not be there.
