In the past 24 hours, the Israeli army killed 106 Palestinians, bringing the death toll to 35,562 and total injuries to 79,652 since the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in 2023.
Israel is to deliver its response at the court on Friday.
“Truce talks have resumed today in Cairo in the presence of all parties,” the source said.
The director of the CIA, William Burns, is already in Cairo for indirect diplomacy.
Mr Guterres said he strongly encourages the Government of Israel and the Hamas leadership to reach an agreement,
Spokesperson Lin Jian told a daily news briefing that the two sides fully expressed the political will to reconcile their differences.
A Hamas delegation arrived in Cairo, airport sources told newsmen, amid renewed negotiations for a ceasefire and prisoner exchange deal with Israel.
“Ending the hostilities in Gaza would significantly defuse tensions across the region,” Mr Guterres said.
